Application: Before first use, the rod must be placed in boiling water for 10 min. The rod should rest in your drinking water for about 1-2 hours to mineralise the water with potassium. Also to bind chlorine and lime and to soften the water. After 1-2 months, the product should be cleaned by placing it in boiling water for 10 minutes.

According to the manufacturer, the useful life of the mineral stick is about 6 months. After that, it can be recycled as an air freshener or as a fertiliser for plants.
