The happy world of Ham
HAM is the brainchild of artist and illustrator Joanna Ham, who holds a BFA Fine Art with a focus on anatomy from the Ruskin School of Art at Oxford University. She founded her eponymous studio in 2011 and has since worked with Liberty, Mother, Billy Name, Topshop and Colette. She has also created bespoke artwork for The Body Shop, Mini, Moncler, Eurostar and Nike.
With her work, Jo aims to celebrate the everyday. Through her studies and early career as a designer, she has always been fascinated by pop culture and uses bunnies to highlight the simple pleasures of life - particularly the way we interact through work and play. The resulting social commentary creates the happy world of HAM, where our daily rituals, likes and hobbies are immortalised in print for all to enjoy.
Jo also works in collaboration - HAM has designed bespoke rabbits and packaging for The Body Shop's Forever Against Animal Testing Campaign, dressed the rabbits in Moncler for their House of Genius project, made gold leaf artwork for Print Club London and designed a giant mural for children's design shop Molly Meg, installed public art for design hub Kings Cross x London Design Festival, wrapped a mini Countryman in rabbits, designed shop windows for retailer West Elm, exhibited at Colette Paris, ran a pop-up shop in the Topshop flagship shop and created limited edition art prints for cancer charity Maggie's.
Life is beautiful! HAM's bunnies remind us of that every day
.The happy little bunnies dance around your mug, going about their favourite pastime and calling out to us:
"I am a superhero and fly to infinity and beyond. Sometimes it's quite good to love yourself a little too!"
These little stories, give us courage and joy every day to go on and see the good. Immerse yourself in the happy world of HAM and let yourself be inspired - just as the rabbits captivated us at the beginning of the year.
