Badger hair and walnut shaving brushes

Shaving brush made of oiled walnut wood and badger hair, machine made. Badger hair naturally absorbs water and is therefore optimally suited for shaving.

Today, Iris Hantverk consists of 17 employees. The main business is the brush bandage factory in Sandsborgsvägen, Enskede. Here, six visually impaired craftsmen from different cultures make brushes in the old Swedish tradition. Since August 2012, the company has been run by Richard Sparrenhök and Sara Edhäll. They care a lot about the craftsmen and the survival of brush-making. They believe that many like them appreciate the feel and quality of a hand-drawn brush made from natural materials.

Their vision is to revive the traditional profession of brush binding. By producing functional products with good design, combined with the quality of natural materials and the solid technique of the craftsmen.
