These small candles, handmade from natural and sustainable materials, are made from rice bran wax, which forms a harder body, burns longer and produces less smoke. Each small candle burns long enough for a short meditation or is the perfect timer for a break in the middle of a busy day. Made from 100% natural and sustainable materials.

The underside of each candle has a hole so it can be used with a pierced candle holder. If a burnt wick gets long, it can be removed with tweezers or a Candle Snuffer to prevent the candle from burning too quickly.

Daiyo, with its hundred-year history, uses 100% local and natural plant wax, carefully handcrafted by artisans. By using a sustainable resource, the Japanese candles for home use do not produce smoke nor does the melted wax flow out of the candle. The candles are also virtually odourless. Eco-friendliness is the greatest feature of the Japanese candles by Daiyo.

The candle are delivered in a beautiful gift box. The burning time is approx. 40 minutes each.

THE MAKERS

The Daiyo family business was founded in 1914 in Shiga Prefecture, Japan. Now in its fourth generation, they make authentic Japanese candles that are known nationwide for their quality and beauty. All Daiyo candles are intricately handcrafted by master artisans using traditional methods and made exclusively from vegetable waxes. It is said that there are only 10 master craftsmen left in Japan who have mastered this type of traditional candle making.
