This minimalist incense holder, made in the wabi-sabi philosophy. The incense holder is made of smooth concrete and is therefore very durable.
The spiritual art of incense has been cultivated in Awaji for generations. The craft of the master incense smokers, the Koh-shi, is perfected with great care for the precious ingredients and the manufacturing process. The handmade incense sticks made of charcoal from this mystical island purify the mind and soul and provide space for contemplation. According to legend, Awaji was the first island in Japan to be created.
