Beschreibung

Timeless, elegant cooking spoon from the Maple Leaf London Plantain. An exceedingly practical everyday object, it is hand-carved and lies comfortably in the hand. The smoothly polished surface is embedded with natural oil and develops a beautiful patina with use.

.

Each product is unique, therefore variations in size, colouring and grain are possible.

Care instructions:
With a little care, these cooking spoons will last a very long time. After use, clean with a little warm water and mild washing-up liquid; if very dirty, rub vigorously with a brush. It is advisable to always rinse both sides so that no tensions arise in the wood due to one-sided moistening. Then dry quickly and leave the cooking spoon to dry completely standing up in a dry, well-ventilated place. Please do not put in the dishwasher, do not soak and leave in water for a long period of time.

Neutral cooking oil can be applied occasionally to maintain the surface. To do this, apply a little oil to a soft cloth and rub in thoroughly, then allow to dry thoroughly.

Die Story zu HAMPSON WOODS

STORY

In spring 2012, Hampson Woods introduced a new line of serving boards. Crafted from the London plane tree, these boards bring finely crafted beauty to your home.

Plane trees are frequently felled in London and Hampson Woods works closely with arborists who are able to collect and work on these towering giants of the city. You know the origin of all the pieces.

Once you hold the tree in your hands, look at each part and the shapes of the unfinished pieces become visible. Hampson Woods cuts these pieces roughly, taking into account any future movement of the wood. Once they are confident of the integrity of each piece, the major carving begins, following the same lines chosen by the tree itself.

Only by thinking, acting and working patiently in this way can one hope to do justice to the beauty that lies in the grain of the finished piece. And you notice that.

Every piece is different. And every piece is loved - even before it finds a home.
