Beschreibung

Toyo-Sasaki's thin, stackable glasses are lightweight and durable - and they save space in the cupboard.

The stackable Fino glasses impress with their slim and light design. The clear, sleek rims are thin, yet stackable for easy storage. The use of reinforcement technologies such as the HS ion finishing process on the entire surface ensures that the rims do not break easily, even when the glasses are stacked.

Few drinking glasses have such iconic value in Japan as the HS stackable water glass, which was designed in 1967 and is constantly in demand thanks to its robust texture, functionality and timeless look. The simple cylindrical shape with its narrow base is pleasing to the eye, easy to handle and stack. Unsurprisingly, it has become the glass of choice for many restaurants and cafés with high customer traffic.

In addition to the user-friendly shape, the material is also extremely resilient. Made of tempered glass - hence the name HS: Hard Glass - and with a 1.8 mm thick rim, the glasses can be stacked up to 3000 times without splintering. STORY

Founded in 1902 by Sojiro Sasaki, Toyo-Sasaki is one of Japan's leading glass manufacturers and has played an important role in the long history of Japanese glassmaking. The Tokyo-based company initially produced oil lamps, but switched to glass household goods when electricity and gas replaced oil as the primary source of light. In 2002, the company merged with Toyo Glass to form Toyo-Sasaki Glass, which still makes the drinking glass today.
