Description

"While we labor over the abstract questions of meaning, we overlook the manageable and malleable reality."

The questions of everyday life seem mundane to us and "mundane" becomes a synonym for "banal". But everyday life is the time in which we spend our lives! The form we give to everyday life decides whether life succeeds. This is exactly where form consciousness comes in:

.

With profound knowledge and in a generally understandable form, Frank Berzbach illuminates the form of restriction and that of nourishment. He deals with the form of love and media use and encourages us to think about the form and meaning of clothing and possessions. Consciousness of Form is a loving plea for a conscious approach to oneself and others, to media, food and things. It is a philosophical essay in understandable language, an encouragement to mindfulness and limitation. It is food for thought and a declaration of love for life!

After the sensational success of The Art of Living a Creative LifeFrank Berzbach dedicates his attention to everyday things and interlinks them. He gives them back their basic meaning and arranges them in a larger context.

.

What is a healthy breakfast compared to "one more thing". How unimportant does a loving gesture to a partner, a neighbour, a colleague seem to us compared to our significant goals? Those who attach importance to clothes are quickly dismissed as "superficial" and "those who keep things tidy are just too lazy to look". Frank Berzbach gets to the bottom of things, he thinks ahead and questions. And some things that seem to be only trivialities carry within them the chance of significant changes towards a better, more conscious life.

On equipment and design

. Just like Being creative and the art of leading a creative life has Katrin Schacke also designed Form Consciousness . She had already read Frank Berzbach's texts during the editing phase and created mood boards through which a material mix of rough and smooth, organic and inorganic ran. The rough grey linen seemed to us to go particularly well with Frank Berzbach's clear analysis. The marbled paper an ideal contrast. We were aware that a linen volume bound in this way would fray a little at the top and bottom, and we think it suits life and everyday life.

As in the other two volumes, we wanted to highlight particularly strong sentences, but of course not repeat ourselves in terms of design. So this time the best sentences got their own pages.

The format of the three books is the same, giving them a book-like cohesion with the greatest possible individuality.
