HIROTA GLASS - Original Sojasaucen-Spender aus Glas | Handmade in Japan
Original glass soy sauce dispenser Sale priceSFr. 49.00

Beschreibung

The general shape of the soy sauce cup, the pioneering shape that prevents any leakage, was originally developed by Hirota Glass in the 1970s, inspired by the function of dropper bottles for experiments.

Hirota Glass solved the problem of leakage to the outside by firmly rubbing the body of the bottle against the glass stopper, thus contributing significantly to the spread of the glass soy sauce cup. It could be said that Hirota Glass changed the history of the glass soy sauce container and thus the origin of the soy sauce container.

The non-drip, handy and sturdy original Hirota Glass is now kept in the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo and is truly a historical masterpiece.

The soy sauce cup received the Good Design Long Life Design Award in 2020, one of the highest awards for manufacturers.

Each soy sauce dispenser comes in a high-quality cardboard box.

Use

Please watch the usage video 1 and usage video 2. The dispenser is designed to perfectly prevent dripping. Although the user in the videos holds the stopper while pouring, the stopper hardly falls out without being held as it is firmly attached to the body part. Since it can slowly pour out the contents, it is also very convenient when eating tamago kake gohan (raw egg with white rice)

.

STORY

Hirota Glass was founded in Tokyo in 1899 and has established itself as one of the pioneers of Japanese glassware. They have created their own distinctive style, combining traditional Japanese craftsmanship with European design
