Serving Spoon Various Spoon XL | Brass

This special "Various Spoon" is personally handmade in brass by Ruka (Lue) Kikuchi, like all his products, in his own workshop in Setouchi City, Okayama (Japan). The handmade unique pieces, may have unique markings, such as traces of hammer blows or small scratches - this underlines the Handcrafted Character. However, Lue Brass' objects are definitely intended for everyday use.

Over time, the brass undergoes a colour change due to natural oxidation processes and develops a charming light brown patina, followed by rust tones. The original shine can be maintained by using a polishing cloth.

Ruka (Lue) Kikuchi, the craftsman behind the Lue Brass brand has been making brass products such as cutlery and bowls in modernist designs since 2000 in Setouchi City, Okayama (Japan). Since then, he has become extremely well known in the design-loving scene beyond his country's borders. Brass is his preferred material and the products are always handmade. Lue's aim is for his products to last a lifetime and bring pleasure.

Although he makes all his work by hand, Ruka has recently started making industrial metalwork, i.e. cutlery made using workshop machinery.
