Beschreibung

Practical table brush set made of horse hair and oiled beech wood. When it comes to table culture, everyone probably agrees: the crumbs from the previous meal or the last course have to go. Shaking out the entire tablecloth is often tedious and not possible during a meal anyway. So it is best to sweep up the crumbs quickly, which is much easier with a table brush than with your hands. The crumbs land directly in the scoop and don't have to be swept all over the table first to end up in your hand or even on the floor. It couldn't be simpler or more elegant.

The table brush together with the matching shovel comes from Sweden, where it is handmade in the proven brush-making tradition. The set is an elegant blend of design, craftsmanship and ethical manufacturing.

The oil brush and matching scoop come from Sweden, where they are made in the time-honoured tradition of handcrafting.

The oil-treated beech wood and soft horsehair bristles are carefully handcrafted by visually impaired artisans. A quality household utensil that will stand the test of time.

Today Iris Hantverk consists of 17 employees. The main business is the brush binding factory in Sandsborgsvägen, Enskede. Here six visually impaired craftsmen from different cultures make brushes in the old Swedish tradition. Since August 2012, the company has been run by Richard Sparrenhök and Sara Edhäll. They care a lot about the craftsmen and the survival of brush-making. They believe that many like them appreciate the feel and quality of a hand-drawn brush made from natural materials.

Their vision is to revive the traditional profession of brush binding. By producing functional products with good design, combined with the quality of natural materials and the solid technique of the craftsmen.
